Our training schedule is Monday - Friday 8:00 AM to 5:00 PM All Installer Applicants MUST HAVE: A valid TEXAS Drivers License and Social Security Card If you have your own truck or van, it must be a clean late model(WHITE preferred) able to carry a 28?ladder If you are planning on using your own vehicle, you must have valid auto insurance and vehicle registration Must also be able to pass our BACKGROUND CHECK for the LAST 7 YEARS! No Felonies and no Probation within the last 7 years. No Misdemeanors and no Probation within the past 3 years Physical Requirements: Be able to work outdoors in extreme heat, cold or rain Be able to carry a 28? ladder Be able to pass a drug test Is NOT afraid of heights Duties & Responsibilities: Install, service and disconnect residential video, data and voice services Perform underground and aerial cable service installations Configure coaxial drop system to meet installation standards Analyze, maintain and repair residential coaxial drop system, phone wiring data network equipment and services Install equipment on customer premises while maintaining an accurate and complete inventory of all company-issued equipment Educate customers about products and services and present them with service upgrade opportunities Perform personal computer software configurations Identify defective customer equipment and ensure a timely return to the warehouse for processing Communicate routine-demand plant maintenance and demand construction referrals Job Related Qualifications (knowlege, skills & abilities): Must meet TWC attendance standards Must use step and extension ladders up to 32' in height to perform essential duties May be required to climb poles while wearing related safety equipment Must possess and apply relevant knowledge of applicable federal and state occupation health and safety regulations Must possess knowledge of basic electronic theory as it relates to essential duties and relevant knowledge of personal computer hardware and software Be able to use software (for example "ping tools") to analyze network connectivity Be able to analyze and troubleshoot cable equipment and wiring Be able to use signal level meter and various test equipment to perform essential duties Be able to use various electronic devices to communicate between service location and office Be able to interact with coworkers and customers in a positive manner, follow directions and work rules, and accept constructive feedback Be able to read installation directions and work aids Be able to perform mathematical calculations to meet signal level standards at customer premises Be able to communicate professionally, effectively, and courteously with customers and coworkers
